It's important to launch safely from the docks, as you'll need to have a clear line of sight of the drone so it's flying safely away from the road and trees. The Kennedy Town Swimming Pool is open from April to October and closed down from November to March.

The time of day is very important when you're photographing this location with a drone. Midday won't give you any unwanted shadows and it'll allow you to capture the best colours of the water. At other times of the day, the shadows will be too extreme and will change the look of the image.

Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations.

I think that in order to photograph the best composition, you should try to aim your drone directly down for a straight, look-down perspective. You'll be able to emphasize the shape of the pool this way.

Wait for swimmers to fill up the lanes at different times so you have a sense of movement and scale in your shot.

I also recommend including the nearby traffic, which will usually have some bright Hong Kong taxis passing on the road.
