This small volcanic mound off the east coast of Oahu is one of the most iconic landmarks in Hawaii, but few can say they've actually visited it! Just a short trip off the coast, you can visit this lush but miniature paradise by paddling out on a surfboard or kayak — you can even wade on days with extremely low tide!

This drone photo of Moloki'i, also known as Chinaman's Hat, was captured while flying from the beach on Chinaman's Hat. To get the aerial perspective, navigate to Kualoa Point parking lot (21.510635, -157.837030) in Kualoa Regional Park and head directly down to the beach. You'll clearly see Moloki'i right off the coast.
From here, you can either paddle out the island in the early morning and fly your drone from around the island when you arrive, or you can stay on the beach and fly your drone across the water over to the island. I framed my shot over the island, facing west back towards the mountains of Oahu.
