This secluded, scenic stretch of sand is part of the massive 4000-acre Kualoa Ranch, a private cattle ranch and natural reserve. Accessible by catamaran ride across a lake, the peaceful beach offers incredible views of Oahu's east coast, the Kualoa Mountain Range and even Chinaman's Hat!

This photo was taken at Secret Island, a "private" beach located within Kualoa Ranch property, a cattle ranch and nature park. The best way to get to the beach is by taking a tour directly through Kualoa Ranch (https://www.kualoa.com) — they offer a Secret Island Beach Experience that includes transport across Moli'i Lake via catamaran.
However, all beaches in Hawaii are technically public land — there's no such thing as a "private beach" here. Since Kualoa Ranch usually opens around 9:00 AM for Secret Beach tours, if you'd like to visit for sunrise, you'll need to take an alternate route.
To do so, drive to Kualoa Regional Park, a large grassy park and serene beach that's open to the public. Park just outside the park along Kamehameha Hwy, and walk down to the beach. From here, walk west along the beach until you reach Secret Island Beach.
