Mai Poina Beach Park Curved Palm Tree

avatar
@vincelimphoto
This is my go-to spot for sunsets on Maui. It's hard to beat an iconic curved palm tree with soft, oceanic lighting in the background on any given day, and at this location, you get the best view of a breezy seaside scene.

The curved palm tree is located at the south end of the Mai Poina Beach Park. Please keep in mind that parking on the side of S Kihei Rd (next to this spot) is very narrow and it's only ideal for smaller cars. If you happen to be driving in a bigger car, I'd advise you to find parking in a residential area and then walk over. Once you get to the location, which is hidden from the main road, you'll walk over a small hill of sand and on your left you'll see the curved tree. Reference the GPS coordinates and they'll lead you right to the location.
