Take a quick stroll through a tropical forest paradise — with thick vines creeping like tendrils around ancient banyan trees, this mystical scene is straight out of The Jungle Book. An easily accessible path right off the side of the roads leads through the picturesque jungle to a popular snorkeling and swimming bay.

This photo was taken directly off the path at the Honolua Bay Access Trail, a quick trail that leads through the jungle directly to Honolua Bay Beach. It is easily accessible by car and is about a 20 minute drive from Lahaina.
To get here, take Highway 30 north past Kapalua to Mile Marker 32. After passing Honolua Place on the right, look for street parking on the left (21.011948, -156.636917). I recommend getting there early in order to secure an easy parking spot. From the parking area, there is a well-marked path to Honolua Bay Beach.
After entering the trail to the beach, take a right into the forest directly off the trail. Turn southeast, back towards the highway, and you should see one of the big banyan trees with many vines hanging down. I positioned my camera turning back towards the trail, with the trail and trees in view.
