Experience one of the Nā Pali Coast's hidden jewels from the sky. This open-ceiling sea cave stands approximately 100 feet tall from top to bottom, with a small rock island in the middle. While the view from inside is spectacular (Mary J. Blige even shot her hit music video "Everything" here!), the perspective from above is just as jaw-dropping.

This photo of the Kauai Open-Ceiling Sea Cave was taken from the sky on a helicopter. If you don't have access to a helicopter tour, you could also potentially achieve this view by flying a drone from a boat, from Kalalau Beach, or from nearby Awa'awapuhi Trail or Kalepa Ridge Trail.
To get here, I joined the Doors Off Helicopter Tour with Jack Harter Helicopters (www.helicopters-kauai.com/reservations.html). There are quite a few helicopter tours in Kauai, so just ask the company of your choice if they will be willing to fly over this open ceiling cave. There are often middle seats in the helicopter, so try to get a window seat in order to get the best view. Once you arrive at the location and you're on the opposite side of the helicopter, don't hesitate to ask the pilot to flip the aircraft around so you have a clear view of the coastline.
