The image was taken from the top of the stairs after entering the Antiquarium (Room 7) in the Munich Residenzmuseum.
To get to the museum, enter from Residenzstraßeand and then use the treasury entrance. Take a left and then another left and you should see a long, baroque hallway that looks similar to the Antiquarium — but make sure to take a right before going into this hallway. You'll then enter a room decorated with seashells called the Grotto. Go straight through the Grotto and keep to the right where you'll see the entrance to the Antiquarium (Room 7).
By subway:
- Closest station: Odeonsplatz (via U3, U4, U5, U6)
- Head south on Residenzstraße toward Viscardigasse and the museum will be on the left
Address:
Munich Residenzmuseum, Residenzstraße 1, 80333 München, Germany
