Leipzig Hauptbahnhof main entrance is off of Willy-Brandt-Platz. It serves the following lines: KBS 215, KBS 251, KBS 340, KBS 500, KBS 504, KBS506, KBS 525, KBS 530, KBS 550, KBS 582, Leipzig City Tunnel. When entering from the railway platform, the view is the first one you'll see. When entering from the outside of the eastern entrance hall, cross the hall and follow the GPS coordinates to get to this spot. You can photograph the Leipzig Hauptbahnhof all months out of the year.

Visit the station during the day for the best natural light. In the winter months, go earlier (10AM) and during the summer months, visit in the afternoon (3PM-4PM).

People watch and be on the look out for something interesting that crosses your frame. You'll rarely have this place empty, so make the most of the lively scene and capture the locals and tourists walking around the station.

I suggest working with the reflections on the ground to bring more depth to your composition.

For softer lighting, I recommend shooting on the side of the platform and not directly towards the sunlight.

Walk around and explore the rest of the massive train station — it even has a shopping center inside!

You'll get nice views on the platforms and in addition to capturing the old and new architecture of the building, you can also capture the underground station that's connected to the terminal.

It's easy to find car parks next to the station and it's right in the middle of the city center.
