After a long and complex history of switching titles and approaches to military history, this unique museum reopened in 2011 with an updated internal and external concept designed by Studio Libeskind. The massive steel and concrete structure that emerges through the neoclassical façade, tearing apart the symmetry of the original building, is the main attraction for passerby, visitors and locals.
