Monolithic and gleaming white, this 118-meter high skyscraper of metal and glass stands high above the heart of West Berlin. Designed by Cristoph Langhof, the uniquely-curved building took over 25 years to develop, and now, it hosts hundreds of offices, commercial spaces, and a hotel chain with a rooftop bar that offers panoramic views of Berlin.

This photo was taken on the exterior of the Upper West skyscraper in West Berlin, looking up towards the top of the building. To get here, take the train, U-bahn or bus to Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten railway station. Exit the station towards Kurfürstendamm — you should see the skyscraper as you're leaving the station.
From here, it's a short 5 minute walk to Upper West. Walk east on Kantstraße until you see the entrance of the Motel One hotel. Before entering the building, stand on the east curved side of the skyscraper and point your camera up towards the roof.
