Part of the Mitte district, this impressive community was previously a Jewish quarter and has since been repurposed after World War II. Its incredible architecture is centered around an Evangelical church that was built centuries ago and still holds great historical and religious significance.

This image was taken in the Sophien community in the Mitte district of Berlin.
To get a similar perspective, walk through the metal gate at Große Hamburger Str. 29 to see the view of the two towers framing the Sophien Church.
After passing through the gate, head in the direction of the church. Walk toward the right side of the church and then turn around so you're angled with the residential buildings directly across from you and the Sophien Church lamppost in your view.
By public transportation:
- Closest station: S-Bahn Station S Hackescher Markt (S3, S5, S7, S9, S75)
- Head east on Am Zwirngraben toward An der Spandauer Brücke
- Turn left onto An der Spandauer Brücke
- Turn another left onto Hackescher Markt
- Continue onto Oranienburger Str.
- Turn right onto Große Hamburger Str.
- Then turn right again and the destination will be on the left
