Just off the highway, this remote castle is atop a countryside hill overlooking a quaint village. The historic site was originally built in the 11th century and since then, it's been preserved to house a museum, hotel and restaurant for visitors to step back into time and feel like royalty.

The drone image was taken above the Wachsenburg Castle, looking south onto the Holzhausen Village. Before heading up to the castle, you can find free parking at the Rastplatz Burgenblick rest stop (50.856864, 10.874507).
Walk up to the castle grounds where you'll find the open area along Veste Wachsenburg. You can launch your drone here, but please be aware of the visitors and respect their space. Reference the GPS coordinates in satellite mode for context.
