Lac des Chéserys provides an excellent place to practice your reflection photography. The massive mountains in the background are mirrored in the crystal-clear lake and after you shoot, you can spend the rest of the time in awe while the setting sun casts a dreamy glow against the natural landscape.

This image was taken on the north side of Lacs des Chéserys. To get to this location, there are multiple routes.
One way to get here is by walking to the village of Les Praz from Chamonix’s centre and then taking the gondola to La Flégere station (16.50 euros per person both ways). After taking the cable car up, you can hike up to Lac Blanc and then Lacs des Chéserys.
If La Flégere cable car is not operating, you can also drive or bus on D1506 for about 13kms in the direction of Argentiere and then park or arrive at "Parking des Aiguilles Rouges" (46.004272, 6.923946).
From the parking lot, cross the street and follow along on the trail, which will take you up to Lacs des Chéserys. There are a few different trails, so be sure to follow the GPS coordinates and proper signage to ensure proper route finding.
