On the idyllic island of Corsica is the Old Port town of Bastia. There are centuries-old monuments, like the Church of St. Jean-Baptiste, as well as bars, restaurants and waterfront views of gently rocking boats docked in the turquoise-blue water. All of this paired with the summer flowers in bloom not only make this island a popular place to travel, it also makes for a hot spot amongst photographers.

This image was taken along the side street of Rue Saint-Michel, with a view of Bastia and the Church of St. Jean-Baptiste. I stood west of the restaurant called Le Perchoir and faced north for a view of the church and city. Reference the GPS coordinates and you'll be able to see this view from where I took the photo.
The best way to get to Bastia is to take a ferry to the island of Corsica or to fly in through the airport.
