High up in Lapland, perched on the banks of Lake Äkäslompolo, is a content creator's dream — a log swing that extends itself over the quiet, glass-like surface of the lake. At the end of a wooden walkway, the charming swing makes for a spectacular photo opportunity, particularly if you have a travel partner willing to model for you. One of the best times to visit the swing is during the winter at night, when the Northern Lights put on a spectacular show overhead and create a brilliant backdrop for a swing shot.

This photo of Ylläs Swing was taken in front of Äkäslompolo Lake, and it's straightforward to get there.
First, you need to get to K-Market Jounin Kauppa, which has a parking lot where you can leave your car. You can get there by taking Tunturintie Road and then turning into Sannanrannantie Road. You will see the parking lot on your right.
Once you have parked your car, get back on Sannanrannantie Road and walk towards the lake. Turn right at the first intersection.
You will see a path between the trees on your left. Keep looking to the left as there are no signs. Here are the GPS coordinates of the path: (67.605640, 24.155815).
Follow the path, and you will reach the swing in less than a minute. To take a familiar photo, walk close to the swing.
