How to get there

N51° 30' 03.3012"W0° 07' 20.2692"
This location was shot along the Westminster Bridge, facing southwest toward the Houses of Parliament. This spot is incredibly easy to access, but just make sure to stay safe when you're photographing on such a busy street. By London Underground: - Closest station: Westminster Station (via Jubilee, Circle or District lines) - Head east until you reach the Westminster Bridge

Tips

When to go

Best season

January, November, December

Best time

Sunrise, Morning
To capture the thick fog in the air, visit the Westminster Bridge from November to February.
In the early morning, the fog will rise from the River Thames. It's also a great time to avoid the busy rush hour commuters.

Field tips

If you're standing in the middle of the street, watch out for incoming traffic and be aware of your surroundings.
Be patient and wait for something interesting to pass into your frame.
In addition to bringing along a wide-angle lens, I also recommend bringing a telephoto lens. With this, you can get a lot of the building's architecture with the person nicely isolated, too.

Do nearby

Cross the bridge and check out the Palace of Westminster, which is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Nearby, hidden under the Waterloo Tunnel, is the Leake St Tunnel. Since London artist Banksy held the "Cans Festival" here in 2008, the city has made it legal for artists to graffiti in the passage way. It's an ideal location for street photography and art inspiration!
You can also walk along the bridge toward the south bank and visit the SEA LIFE Centre London Aquarium, The London Eye and The London Dungeon.
