This impressive perspective of one of London's iconic locations lights up the sky. After a storm (you'll get a lot of them in the area!), you'll have the perfect opportunity to photograph a mesmerizing nighttime reflection with the puddle producing an upside-down image of the bridge.

The image of the Tower Bridge was taken from the north bank along the River Thames. I stood facing southwest toward Tower Bridge, near the "Timepiece Sundial" right before the entrance onto St Katharine Pier.
By London Underground:
- Closest Station: Tower Hill (via Circle or District line)
- Head south toward Tower Hill St
- Head southwest toward St Katharine's Way (you'll find the pathway along the river)
- Continue south on St Katharine's Way making your way toward The Tower Hotel
- Walk past St Katharine Pier and the destination will be directly in front of you

Night
You can photograph Tower Bridge during any month of the year.
This photo was taken at night after a rain storm. I also love capturing the bridge during blue or golden hours. My ultimate magic combo is a sunrise during low tide!
After the rain, look for a puddle to add a reflection in the foreground of your composition.
Field tips
I used an ultra-wide angle lens (24mm) to capture the entire Tower Bridge in the distance, as well as the pool of water in the foreground.
I didn't use a tripod for this photo because I wanted to get as low to the ground and puddle as possible I could achieve a mirrored reflection.
For a blur-free photo, I recommend using a remote control to avoid camera shake.

If you're looking to get drinks, the Dickens Inn is an awesome pub in the area — and it's only a two minute walk away!
The Tower Hotel is also a nice place to visit. You can either stay there or check out the magnificent views of Tower Bridge.
