Tottenham Court Road Tube Station Stairwell

The image was taken in the stairwell of the Tottenham Court Road Station. To get this view, take the Central Line to the Tottenham stop and then once you get off of the train, you'll have to go up these stairs.

All months of the year are suitable to photograph this stairwell.

Since it's an interior station, you can come here any time during opening hours. I recommend early morning or late at night when there would be fewer people in your shot.

Please be careful and watch your step when taking this shot of the stairs. Also, be mindful of other people that are in transit.

I suggest using a wide-angle lens (14mm) to capture the entirety of the walls and the stairs.

By standing in the center of the stairwell you'll be able to create a sense of symmetry. The symmetrical feel can be further emphasized if you frame a model in the center of the image.

Try to explore the station as there is definitely more to see and photograph!

Various bars and restaurants are available in the area.

If you're looking for a bit of nature, check out the nearby Soho Square Gardens. This area of London can get busy, so the gardens are a great place to relax and take a moment to yourself.
