Inside one of London's busiest train terminals, Indulge in a glass of champagne or have afternoon tea as you take in the Art-Deco interior of Europe's longest champagne bar. They even have a "Press for Champagne" button so your glass is never left empty!

The image was taken inside St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar by Searcys inside the St Pancras terminal. For this view, take either the St Pancras International train or the King's Cross St. Pancras Underground Station (via Circle, Metropolitan, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Northern or Victoria) and make your way toward Searcys (there will be signs toward the shops and restaurants). I stood at a table on the outside of the restaurant, on the lefthand side of the bar for this shot.

Tips

When to go

Best season

All months

Best time

Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
I took this image in June, but you can visit the St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar any month. During Christmas time, the bar will be decked out in holiday decorations.
You would want to get as much light as possible coming through the glass ceiling so the best time to visit is mid-day. Morning and late afternoon will also work here.

Field tips

Even though I used a mobile phone, I recommend using a camera with a wide-angle lens. A wide-angle will allow you to frame the terminal, restaurant and details of the station.
If you sit on left side of the bar you'll be able to get a similar composition.
Order a nice spread of food! It compliments the scene perfectly.
I aimed to have the clock in the shot to have a focal point in the back of the image.

Do nearby

The King's Cross area has been through a lot of redevelopment which means there are new shops, restaurants and bars opening. Check out Coal Drops Yard to shop or eat and I highly recommend going to Dishoom if you like Indian food.
