Made entirely of bath stone, the honey-colored, locally-mined rock that gives the city of Bath its characteristic hue, this 18th century bridge is truly one of a kind. It's one of only four bridges in the world that have shops across its full span on both sides and the only one in the UK! A horseshoe-shaped weir flows in the River Avon below the bridge, creating a picturesque scene.

This photo of the Pulteney Bridge was taken from the West Bank of the River Avon, just south of the bridge and the weir (the low head, horseshoe-shaped dam that flows in the middle of the river).
To get here, first navigate to the west entrance of the Pulteney Bridge, where Grand Parade Rd meets River Avon. At the bridge, head south on Grand Parade Rd until you're past the weir. Reference the GPS coordinates to find the spot where I stood. Look back north and position yourself so you can fit the entire bridge in your frame.
