Whipping by in nighttime traffic, the cars along this all-steel bridge make for the perfect location for an exhilarating shot of bustling Shanghai.

To get this view, I stood at the northeast corner of the Waibaidu Bridge, which can be entered on either side of the bridge via the pedestrian path on Damin Rd.
By Metro:
- Closest Station: Tiantong Rd (Line 10 or 12)
- Take exit 3 then turn right onto Tiantong Rd
- Turn right onto Daming Rd and continue until you're on the bridge

Night
You can visit the Waibaidu Bridge year round.
To enhance the lights from the cars, I recommend visiting at night — but 10pm, as the bridge lights will turn off at this time.
Field tips
Be very careful! Traffic is moving very fast.
Make sure to use a tripod here! I placed mine on the edge of the bridge, facing toward the oncoming cars.
Use a slower shutter speed with buses and a faster shutter for cars. It should be at least 3 seconds to get the light trails from the cars.
