This photograph was taken in front of a seasonal pond called Wosky Pond, named for for John B. Wosky, the park's assistant superintendent (1935-1952). His vehicle got stuck in the mud here.
The nearest landmark is the Yosemite Valley Lodge at 9006 Yosemite Lodge Dr, Yosemite National Park, CA 95389. From there, head west on Northside Dr towards the exit of the park.
After you pass the El Capitan Picnic Area on your right get into the left lane and keep your eyes peeled. After passing the picnic area it will be the very first turnout on your left (right as you come around a curve). Pull over and feast your eyes on the sight!
