Vernal Falls is located in the heart of Yosemite National Park Valley.
When you enter Yosemite Valley, follow Southside Drive to Half Dome Village. From there, follow the signs to trailhead parking. The path begins near Happy Isles Nature Center. Follow the trail to Vernal Falls Footbridge (about 1 mile from the trailhead).
Once you arrive at the bridge, you'll take a left towards the Mist Trail. From there, you will have a great view of the falls. Continue up the trail towards the falls.
Once you arrive at the stone stairway you will see a trail that forks off to the left. Walk down this path to access the vantage point in the featured image.
