Inside one of California's most incredible parks, Yosemite Falls is one of those spots that everyone must see in person to appreciate its true beauty. Stand close to the free-flowing water and feel the mist from the tallest waterfall in North America upon your face while you take in the jaw-dropping view from the easy-to-access base of the Lower Falls.

This photo of Lower Yosemite Falls was taken near Lower Yosemite Fall Vista Point at the base of the waterfall, which is along Lower Yosemite Falls Trail in Yosemite National Park. I stood northwest of Lower Yosemite Fall Vista Point and pointed my camera north toward the waterfall. My subject posed for me on a boulder at the border of the Lower Yosemite Falls pool. To get to the waterfall, walk from the Yosemite National Park Visitor Center or take the free shuttle to Shuttle Stop #6 or #8. The trail's entrance is clearly marked on the north side of the road. Walk the paved trail until you reach the waterfall — it's impossible to miss!
