This image was taken around 50 yards off the Hickory Oaks Trail, with a view of the Santa Cruz mountains.
You'll need a car to get to this location. First, drive up Highway 9, then take a right when you reach Skyline Boulevard. Proceed down Skyline Boulevard until you reach a lengthy, forested pullout on the right. Park your car there.
After parking your car, cross the road toward the entrance of the trail (37.269315, -122.141532). Hike for about 5 minutes up a moderately steep incline toward an intersection in the path. At the intersection, take a right and continue down the trail until you can see this viewpoint.
Traverse left and down a steep decline toward a small boulder near the cliff. Stand on the boulder for a more elevated perspective and then have your model stand near the boulder by the cliff (be careful!).
