Bo Gimbal Trail is a truly beautiful location, even if you're just there for the hike and not for the photo opportunities. We were staying at the property of Canyon Ranch Woodside (https://explorest.app.link/crw) and ventured to the area of Russian Ridge, which was covered in rolling gold hills. Looking east at Bo Gimbal, you'd never think you were just outside of the busy city, and looking west, you can see the ocean as the sun dips behind the horizon.

This image was taken on Bo Gimbal Trail. The best way to get to this location is by car. You can park along the street down at the bottom of Ridge Trail (37.324557, -122.204907). Once you see the sign to enter the path, walk up Ridge Trail for about 20-25 minutes until you get to where it splits with Bo Gimbal Trail. Reference the GPS coordinates and you'll see the exact place where I stood for this perspective.
