Nestled along one of the Bay Area’s most coveted regions, this rocky shoreline is the perfect escape from the city. As the sun sets over Rodeo Beach, the shore comes alive with hues of orange and pink.

The GPS coordinates are exactly where I stood for the featured shot, which is a bit off the beaten path, so first I recommend plugging "Rodeo Beach" as your destination into your map app; this will lead you to the parking area for the beach. Begin looking for a parking spot along Mitchell Rd once you hit Mitchell Rd and Kirkpatrick St.
There's a wooden plank walkway directly in front of the parking spots that leads to the beach — take the walkway across and now you can use the included GPS coordinates to lead you to where I stood along the beach.
There's a chance you might lose service by the time you arrive at the parking lot, in which case, the written directions are quite simple: cross the walkway to the beach and head straight for the shore where the ocean meets the sand. Follow the shoreline left towards the bluffs, and once at the bluffs you'll see the giant rock formations sticking out of the water — walk about 500 ft further to arrive where I stood.
Please be mindful of the tide and only visit this area when tides are low enough to safely access the jagged rock portion of the shore.
