Just outside of San Francisco, this scenic coastal road leads to an amazing aerial view of the ocean crashing against the cliffs in Half Moon Bay. The fresh sea breeze and warm light from the setting sun is truly unmatched — you won't want to miss an opportunity to photograph this dreamy spot!

How to get there

This drone image was taken from a small pullout along Cabrillo Highway and the cliffs of Grey Whale Cove in Half Moon Bay. To get here, you'll need access to a car.
First, park in the Grey Whale Cove Trail Parking Lot (37.563071, -122.512524), then head south down Cabrillo Highway to get to the pullout. After I flew my drone, I flew about 200 feet high aligned with the road, facing north.
You can alternately fly off to the side the parking lot, just be mindful of others.
