This photo of the Mount Baker reflection was taken by some small tarns near the Park Butte Lookout in Washington. The hike to reach this spot is about 3.4 miles one way with about 1900 feet of elevation gain.
To reach the trailhead for this hike, coming from Burlington, turn left off of hwy 20 onto Baker Lake Road. Follow Baker Lake Road for 12.2 miles and then turn left onto NF-12. Follow NF-12 for 3.5 miles and then make a right onto NF-13. Drive down NF-13 for 5.1 miles until you reach the Park Butte Trailhead (48.706794, -121.812552).
Once parked, display your pass and then head up the trail towards Park Butte Lookout. While you're hiking, stay to the left at any of the forks you come to on Park Butte Trail. The trail is well signed and easy to follow.
After about 3.2 miles of hiking, there'll be some smaller trails off to your left that'll lead you down to these tarns and this view.
