This photo of Lake Wenatchee and Emerald Island was taken from Lake Wenatchee State Park, directly west of the boat launch located on the south bank of the Wenatchee River.
From the parking lot grounds, it's a quick walk directly west to the lake bank where I took this photo. Reference the GPS coordinates to see exactly where I stood, facing west towards the lake and Emerald Island.
Directions from Seattle:
- Drive 24 miles from Stevens Pass
- Turn left onto State Route 207 at Coles Corner
- Drive four miles then turn left onto Cedar Brae Rd
- Follow this road until you reach the Lake Wenatchee State Park south park entrance
- Continue along State Park Rd unless you reach the very last parking lot (47.806610, -120.726618) next to the boat launch
