Reference the GPS and look for the escalator labeled "Casino" in red, then take the escalator down and then look up to get this view. By public transportation: - Take the North East Line or Circle Line to HarbourFront station (NE1/CC29) - At HarbourFront Station, take the Sentosa Express (additional charges apply) and alight at Waterfront Station - Walk past 7-Eleven - Turn left and head towards the Resorts World Sentosa Casino

Capture this shot right before the sun sets in the late afternoon. During this time, the light will produce a soft glow and the harsh midday sun won't be present.

An iPhone, or any mobile phone, won't give you a wide enough frame to get a similar image. You'll need a wider lens (I shot at 20mm) to emphasize the entirety of the escalator.

Make use of the escalator's handles and align yourself so you're centered. The handles will also act as a leading line that guide the eye upward toward the light.

To show off the scale of the escalator, have a few friends stand at the top. Take note of other people and keep out of their way. If you don't have a friend or two with you, be patient for someone to ride up and then capture them as they ascend.

This area is filled with endless activities! Visit the S.E.A. Aquarium, casino, Universal Studios or grab a bite to eat — there's a large stretch of restaurants nearby the escalator.
