One of the lesser-known, more unexpected angles of Singapore, this aerial view of The Star Vista is often overshadowed by flashier buildings, like Marina Bay Sands or The Esplanade — but it definitely shouldn't be ignored! From a bird's eye view, you're able to capture the illuminated cityscape and contemporary shopping center as it glistens against the night sky.

This drone image of The Star Vista was taken from the open field that's adjacent to the shopping complex. The best way to get to this location is to take public transportation and then walk a short distance to the field (about 2 minutes).

You can photograph The Star Vista during any month of the year and you'll be able to capture a similar view.
The exterior and interior lights of the shopping complex will be lit up at night, which will complement the dark sky.
Field tips
Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone permits and regulations.
Make sure to fly high enough so you can get the cityscape in the background of your shot. The varying heights of the buildings will add some texture to the overall look of the image.
For a sense of symmetry, try to align your drone with the escalators that run through the middle of the complex.
Although this is the angle I prefer, there are also other angles in which you can get a photographic drone perspective. Fly around and see which aerial viewpoint you like best!
