When to go
All months of the year are suitable to photograph the tennis courts.
To take advantage of the long shadows you’ll want to visit on a sunny day in the late-afternoon when the sun is lower in the sky (around 3-4pm). If it’s cloudy there may not be strong shadows.
Field tips
A permit is required if flying a drone weighing more than 7kg, within 5km of an airport/military base, or higher than 200 feet.
Try flying over unoccupied courts so your drone isn't distracting to people playing tennis.
With the shadows, shapes and lines you have lots of elements to experiment with. Take your time in finding your favorite composition!
If you've brought along a model try having them hang or do something creative with the shadows or lines.
There's plenty of tennis courts about! Fly your drone high and you'll be able to compose several courts in the same frame.
