This location is outside the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. I stood at the intersection of Sago St and South Bridge Rd, just right of the main entrance.
By MRT:
- Closest MRT Station: Chinatown (Downtown Line and North East Line)
- Take exit “A”
- Head southeast on Pagoda St toward Trengganu St
- Turn right onto Southbridge Rd

All months of the year are suitable to photograph outside of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.
Visit during late-afternoon or sunset for optimal light, when it’s not too harsh or dim.
Field tips
By getting low and using a wide-angle lens (16mm) you can really bring scale to the temple and your composition.
Wait for a subject wearing colors that complement the colors of the temple; I was lucky to find capture one wearing a similar reddish hue and a contrasting top. Be patient (or get lucky)!
By shooting in burst mode (i.e., taking a continuous string of shots) you will have an easier time capturing your model at a perfect moment. Be careful as not to look like you’re upskirting =X
