Tips
When to go
Best season
All months
Best time
Late afternoon
All months of the year are suitable to photogaph within the provision shop.
I recommend visiting in the late-afternoon when it’s less likely to be busy. Try avoiding lunch time as the shop owner may close the store at that time.
Field tips
Be mindful of others in the shop when trying to get your shot.
I recommend using a wide-angle lens (35mm) to incorporate more of the product shelves.
Experiment! There’s lots of angles to play with. Try incorporating the leading lines from the shelves.
I placed my model in frame as my central subject. Try composing your image with your model looking at the camera or candidly fidgeting with the products.

Do nearby
Spend some time shopping within the building.
If you haven’t walked inside the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, it’s a must do!
Check out the Polyart Acquarium nearby. Its shops have nice pink and blue lighting that is great for portraits.
