When the glorious morning light hits the side of Kilt Rock, it's almost as if the heavens are shining a spotlight onto the basalt columns that resemble a Scottish kilt (hence the name!). Photographing with a camera works at this location, too, but shooting with a drone is where the real magic happens as you're able to skim the rocky shoreline and see the towering cliffs emerge from the seaside land.
(Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements)

This image was taken from the Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls Viewpoint, looking onto the shoreline of Kilt Rock. I recommend driving to this location and then parking in the lot by the viewpoint (57.610908, -6.173002).
Once you get to the viewpoint, launch your drone a couple of meters out into the ocean and then fly closer to the water to get a good view of the shoreline.
