Bearreraig Bay

avatar
@kuhrmarvin
A slice of serene paradise, this location is surprisingly unknown to most tourists visiting the Isle of Skye. Enjoy having the place to yourself (although you might have to share it with some sheep!) and capture the green cliffs and deep sapphire bay below the festering of storm clouds above in the dark sky.

This view of Bearreraig Bay image was taken from the cliffs edge, looking north onto the water. You can reach this location by driving and then parking at Loch Leathan Dam (57.493514, -6.153618). Follow the trail along the pipelines until you reach the cliffs edge and from there, you'll have a great view of the Bay. Reference the GPS coordinates for the exact location of where I stood. By public transportation: - Closest bus station: Storr Lochs Rd End (via 57C line) - Head northeast on A855 - Turn right
