When to go
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
You can photograph the interior of the Qatar National Library during any month of the year.
I prefer the mornings when it's quieter, but realistically, you can find similar lighting conditions during any time of the day.
Field tips
Make sure to contact the library before visiting so you can book an appointment and get permission to photograph the building.
Since this is a library, it's important to be courteous and as quiet as possible for the people studying and reading.
A wide-angle lens (17mm) will allow you to capture more of the scene—especially from this look-down perspective.
I don't recommend bringing a lot of equipment to this location, but I do think it's best to have a tripod with you for stability over the ledge.
A model will add a sense of scale to the frame, so have a friend come with you and photograph them candidly browsing the books!

Do nearby
Explore the rest of the library! You can get lost in the different areas and you can also visit the cafe that they have on site.
In the heart of Education City, which is where the library is located, there are museums, satellite campuses for eight international universities, botanical gardens, restaurants and more.
