Nestled among snow-capped mountains in Central Oregon, this historic lake offers naturally breathtaking views of a rugged peak against the cerulean sky. At sunrise, the summit is partially illuminated, which highlights the terrain as it emerges from the base of the free-flowing water stream.

This image was taken at the base of No Name Lake with a west-facing view of Broken Top mountain. The hike to No Name Lake is roughly 6 miles round trip and has about 1200-feet of elevation gain, so I recommend this location for more experienced hikers.
First, start at the trailhead at Todd Lake (44.017206, -121.694610), then hike 2.3 miles along the trail until you reach a split. From the split, continue toward Broken Top.
Walk another .8 miles and you'll reach another trail split. Don't take the trail towards Green Lakes and instead, continue on toward Broken Top. Keep following the trail that runs along the creek up near No Name Lake and you'll reach the lake basin, which is on the south east side of No Name Lake.
