Exchange Place Station view of Hudson River and One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower)

This photo was taken at Exchange Place Station on the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway in New Jersey. Upon arriving at the cross streets at Hudson Street and Exchange Place, you can walk towards the waterfront. Once reaching the Hudson River, make a left, then a right, then another left and you should arrive at the location in the photo. To get there from Manhattan, you'll need to take the PATH train: - Board the train at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (on the southwest corner of 9th Ave and 40th Street) - Take the PATH to Hoboken Terminal Lane 6 - Transfer onto the PATH WTC line (Green Line) - Get off at the Exchange Place stop - This location is directly east of the station

Any month is good to photograph the Hudson River Walkway!

I took this photo at sunset on a cloudy day. The sun was able to shine through slightly and the clouds provided an overcast lighting that I really liked. If it's a nice day, I also recommend photographing this location at sunrise. The rising sun will illuminate the buildings and create a dreamy, glistening reflection against the water.

The skyline and foreground will add a dynamic aspect to your image. The building on the left leads into the city in an interesting way that gave some depth to the photo, too.

There are many horizontal lines and textures in the photo, which are emphasized in the foreground. These lines give a more vast appearance to the shot.

Be patient and wait for the right subject to cross into your photo! This person happened to sit down right before I took the photo, so I took advantage and used them in my frame.

Explore the "Wall Street West." Exchange Place is known for the many financial companies, businesses and office buildings that are nearby.

Enjoy the sights of Manhattan from J. Owen Grundy Park. This waterfront pier offers incredible skyline views of the city.

Grab a drink at the RoofTop bar. In the spring and summer, the roof opens up for 360 views of Manhattan. It's the perfect place to relax and take in the sights.
