Ponte Della Paglia, tucked away in the labyrinthine beauty of Venice, is a location straight from a dreamy, Italian film. This arched stone bridge is a character itself, with its timeless elegance and panoramic views of the iconic Bridge of Sighs. You can almost hear the whispers of countless love stories and intrigues that have unfolded here.
Standing on Ponte Della Paglia, with the Venetian gothic architecture in the backdrop and gondolas gently cruising beneath, is like stepping into a painting. It is a pause in time, a place where you can watch Venice's timeless drama unfold. It's no wonder that Ponte Della Paglia has been a muse for artists and poets for centuries.

For my featured photo, I framed the Fondazione Giorgio Cini through the Ponte Della Paglia bridge's stone railing.
To get there, starting from Venice's iconic St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco), head east towards the lagoon. Turn right on Riva degli Schiavoni and continue along the waterfront.
In a short stroll, you will find the stone steps of Ponte Della Paglia rising on your left, inviting you to ascend. As you climb, the charming scene from the top of the bridge—the waters of the lagoon, the distant islands, and the historic buildings of Venice—will unfold like a panoramic cinema screen.
