A versatile location with a lot to offer, this look down allows you to capture not only the park, but the surrounding buildings, too. You're also a few blocks away from the Hancock building, which can provide endless photo opportunities — especially for cityscape shots.

This drone image was taken above Washington Park in Chicago. To get this perspective, I stood in a nearby parking lot (41.899335, -87.633797) and launched my drone from there.
When you get to the parking lot, face east towards Washington Park. If you're looking towards 875 North Michigan Avenue (aka the John Hancock Center) then you're facing the right direction. The lake is also in that direction.
Once you find a safe place to take off from away from parked cars, launch the drone and start flying your way east. Washington Park is directly two blocks over from the parking lot.
