This two-in-one bike and coffee shop is one of my favorite places in Chicago. It's airy, open and welcoming — with the warmth of the old-fashioned surroundings, smiles from baristas, and of course, the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Bonus: if you need to fix your bike or buy a new one, you can do it right there!

This image of the backroom was taken inside Heritage Coffee [and bikes]. The corner where I took this shot is actually on the bicycle shop side and you can get there by going all the way to the back of the coffee shop and then turning left. Some people don't realize there's more seating available over there!
