To shoot the cars with the short shadows (like I have) you'll need to visit around midday when the sunlight will be directly overhead.

Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements.

The park directly next to the launch location has security guards who often stop people from flying drones. By launching from the roadside, you're less likely to attract attention.

I launched as close to the highway as possible to minimize signal loss to the drone.

I zoomed-in so the traffic lanes of the toll road filled the frame entirely.

For a really eye-catching image, I experimented with several different variations of traffic flow to see what looked the best. In my experience, I preferred the view that had the most traffic.

I shot the cars driving down the image into the bottom but you might also like to experiment with different lens rotations and angles.
