When to go
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
All months of the year are suitable to photograph the yellow crosswalk over Queens Road East. Look out for a day when it's sunny, which will make the yellow lines in the crosswalk pop!
For similar lighting conditions, I recommend visiting the Queens Road East crosswalk during the day. In the morning, there will likely be less crowds, as well as beautiful ambient light that will last until the late afternoon.
Field tips
As this is a busy cross walk with vehicles, please be mindful of safety and always have your subject look both ways before crossing the street.
Try playing with different focal points. I used a mobile phone, but a zoom lens will give you the most flexibility when experimenting with your composition.
Be patient — you never know when a perfectly timed passersby will create a serendipitous moment. If you want to plan ahead, then make sure to bring a model wearing yellow and wait until the crosswalk is clear to have them cross into your frame.
