Oscar by the Sea & Junk Bay Look Down

This drone image was taken looking onto Junk Bay and the Oscar by the Sea apartment buildings in Tseung Kwan O. I stood across Junk Bay (on the southwest side) and launched my drone from the waterfront. By MRT: - Closest station: Tseung Kwan O Station (Tseung Kwan O line) - Take exit A2 - Head east on Po Yap Rd toward Tong Chun St - Turn right onto Tong Chun St - Turn left - Slight left - Turn right and the destination will be on the left

You can photograph the Oscar by the Sea apartment buildings and Junk Bay during any time of the year.

Although you can get slightly different shadows depending on the time of day, you can generally find similar conditions during the morning, midday and late afternoon. A sunny day will help the colors pop.

Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements.

Use the curve of the natural landscape to divide the harbor and the land. This curvature will create a contrast between the land and see.

Try to position your drone so you capture the towers directly overhead. From this perspective, you'll be able to see the depth of each different apartment building and their height will also be magnified.

Check out the surrounding housing estates and continue flying your drone in the area to capture more architecture shots.

I suggest visiting the nearby Tseung Kwan O Plaza for some shopping.
