Hängebrücke Klausbachtal Suspended Bridge view of Ramsauer Dolomites (fog)

avatar
@evolumina
Along a hiking trail, you'll find a suspended bridge that leads into a mystical forest of Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden. The wooden viaduct guides hikers through the Southern German Alps and provides picturesque views of massive mountains surrounded by stunning scenery of lush green trees and the Ramsauer Dolomites emerging through a thick layer of fog.

The image was taken along the suspended Hängebrücke Klausbachtal bridge with a south-facing view of the Ramsauer Dolomites. To get to this location you'll need access to a car. There will be a fee for parking (5€). First, drive to this address: Hirschbichlstraße 26, 83486 Ramsau. Park your car at the carpark and then follow the path and sign toward Hängebrücke and reference the GPS in satellite mode to get to the exact spot I stood for this perspective. I took my photo at the end of the bridge where you have a view of the mountains. If you don't want to hike back down you can take the bus (Ramsau b.Berchtesgaden Hängebrücke stop) from mid-May to late October. The last ride is at 5pm, otherwise the departure times are approximately hourly. If you have a stroller with you, take the road Hirschbichlstraße and walk until you get to the bridge. This road is also an option for bikers, families or people with disabilities.
