With past guests like Coco Chanel, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Marcel Proust, it's no wonder the Hôtel Ritz Paris has such a prestigious reputation. It's central location, impeccable design and luxe decor, like this mesmerizing staircase accented by gold railings and colorful carpet, make the hotel feel like a space in which the Ritz describes as a "private home where dreams never cease to unfold".

This look down photo of the red staircase was taken inside the Hôtel Ritz Paris. This is not the staircase once you first enter the hotel, so make sure you go to the one that's further back. You can follow the signs toward Bar Hemingway and while you're headed in the direction of the bar, you'll see the entrance to this staircase. Walk to the top of the stairs and then look directly down for a similar perspective.
