By car:
- From Tours, take the A10 motorway towards Poitiers. Take exit 25 at Sainte Maure de Touraine then follow the direction of Chinon and the signs for Château du Rivau.
- From Angers or Saumur, take the A85 motorway towards Tours. Take exit 5 Chinon/Bourgueil then follow the signs for Château du Rivau.
By train:
- Take a train from Paris to Tours or Saint Pierre des Corps (about one hour) then rent a car, take a private driver or ride on the minibus to the castle.
