Get lost in the wall-to-ceiling book shelves that inspired the first-ever Gothic novel. The impressive literary collection, with stark white moldings and an ornate ceiling, make this room the perfect place to transport you back into time.

You can visit Horace Walpole's Library at Strawberry Hill House during any month of the year.
Visit the museum during opening hours to find similar lighting conditions. Arriving early will give yourself enough time to explore and take photos before the museum becomes busy.
Field tips
I suggest using a wide-angle lens (24mm) to capture the entire wall of books.
There are a lot of elements to this room — the door, the floor, the chair, the shelves, the ceiling. Experiment with different angles and see what compliments or clashes.
Make sure to visit the red and golden hall! It's a gorgeous area that's great for taking photos.
